ABOUT OUR COMPANY

Tuna fish species:
Yellow Fin Tuna (Thunnus albacares),
Big Eye Tuna (Thunnus obesus),
Local Fish:
Company purchase raw materials only from the approved suppliers. Namal
Seafood has fish buyback system when providing baits and other
facilities (eg: fuel) to boat owners.
Fish is caught from Indian Ocean and purchase from landing sites of
Negambo, Chilaw, South province and Trincomalee…etc. Fish is supplied by
company registered suppliers as whole or G/G fish. Fish is caught from
multi-day boats by long line fishing as well as day fishing using hand
lines and net fishing. These fish are iced just after catching in fiber
or plastic boxes in multi-day and day boats. But long line tuna caught
from vessels are gutted and gilled just after catching and store in ice
slurry.
