ABOUT OUR COMPANY Besides its fish-farm, RIZ Krajina specializes on the whole range of fish breeding. Both stations were established in 2000. In the beginning, only the Californian trout was bred, but over the years we started breeding the more demanding river trout and grayling, too. While the initial amount was only 70 tons, we have reached till now 600 tons and this number is growing. Thanks to the spring of river Unac, 4000 to 5000 litres of fresh, clean and oxygen-rich water flows through the fish hatchery which are renewing the complete water amount in all the basins around 60 to 70 times in 24 hours! Even during the hottest months, these fish hatcheries dipose thus of the same amount of fresh water. The outstanding quality of trout and grayling are confirming the high-premium natural resources. According to the inspector from the EU Institute of Freshwater Fish in Brussels, our fish hatchery are the highest in quality that he has ever visited in whole Europe! Fresh Product: With temperatures ranging from 7.5 to 10ºC, the water is perfect for river trout (Salmo trutta m. fario) and grayling (Thymallus Thymallus). This fact and the cleanliness of the spring water as well as an effective leadership in terms of development strategy enable a top-quality and healthy product that is recognized and sought in Bosnia-Herzegovina and abroad. Moreover, we continue to steadily improve our products and services in order to stay the leading producer of freshwater fish in BiH. Certifications: HACCP
