ABOUT OUR COMPANY Mir Fisheries, through its sister concern, the Mir Hatchery & Fisheries Ltd is now producing all kinds of local sweet water fish species. The major varieties include: Golden Rui, Tara Bayeng, Shol, Katol, Rui, Mrigel, Koi (Vietnam), Shorputi, Boush, Gonia, Bata, Black Karp, Silver Karp, Kurpiew, Grass Karp, Gulsha, Pabda, Deshi Shing, Deshi Magur, Pangash and Telapia. In the near future, we believe that the country will be able to meet most of its national demand for fish through local efforts of R&D and production. In recognition to its contribution in the field of private sector livestock development in the country, the Government of Bangladesh, represented by the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, has honoured Mir Fisheries with a national award (successful farmer) for sheep breeding and rearing in 2014. To add a new feather of glory to our corporate hat, Mir Fisheries has recently started its own Feed-meal Factory that manufactures fish and poultry feeds.
